Brent Arena began by undertaking an apprenticeship in Townsville, moving to Hamilton Island where he completed it at Romanos, an Italian restaurant. There Brent learnt the fundamentals of Italian cuisine before finding himself moving to New Zealand to have a little time off cooking. Having the time off ignited more passion to learn as much about food as he possibly could.

Back on Hamilton Island, Brent started working at Qualia with a range of top chefs visiting to host functions. Picking up inspiration from everyone he met, a spark of ambition hit and Brent headed to London to work in Michelin starred restaurant, L'Autre Pied.

After learning as much as he could there, Brent joined the Yachts of Seabourn to cruise Europe and Asia, visiting all of the top rated restaurants in his ports of call. Back to the calling of Qualia, Brent then returned to Hamilton Island. Brent Arena has now consolidated all that he learnt is now showcasing it at PePPi PePPi. 

Coming from an Italian background, Brent's Nonna, Nonno and Dad taught him from a young age what the Italian food culture really is, from walking inside the house to being greeted with a table full of food, drinks and great company. Brent says "This would have to be the foundation of my food today."

Also having the chance to work alongside all of Australia's top chefs. Watching, reading and dining in restaurants around the world would also have to be amongst the biggest influences on Brent's cooking.

Steven Cracknell FOH Supervisor

Mixing and Shaking it with the best behind some of the largest sports bars on the Isle of Man. Steven started his career as a Kitchen Hand and has worked multiple roles in the industry,  gradually working his way to the top and leading him to his current role as FOH Supervisor.
Steven has been a familiar face to some of diners at PePPi PePPi and has now taken on a new roll of leading our front of house team.
